In May 2019, The Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), InfraCo Asia’s parent company, published its Annual Review, reflecting on the successful delivery of innovative solutions across its key sectors and markets. Three sections in the Annual Review highlighted InfraCo Asia Projects: A Cleaner World, Building Capacity, and Geographies. On 23 April 2019, Ambassadors from the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Australia jointly introduced InfraCo Asia CEO Allard Nooy to senior government representatives from Vietnam’s Ministries of Finance, Planning and Investment, Trade and Industry, and Transport. Multiple local news agencies covered the news of the visit, including DTI News (in English) and Lao Động, Báo Giáo dục và Thời đại, and Báo Dân trí (in Vietnamese).
Oxford Business Group published an interview with Allard Nooy in January 2019 including views on financial and regulatory support for renewable energy projects in Asia. The story includes Allard’s thoughts on balancing low-income economies’ need to attract private investment in energy with the desire to provide their citizens with affordable tariffs, and the potential of green bonds in addressing the financing gap for infrastructure in Asia.
